Michael P. Ryan
Michael represents clients on matters involving commercial lending, acquisitions, sales and leasing of commercial real estate law, corporate law and governance, and civil litigation, including title insurance defense litigation. He has represented numerous banks and borrowers in both commercial lending (real estate and commercial and industrial lending) and commercial real estate transactions involving multiple unit apartment buildings, mixed use developments, construction and permanent financing and commercial workouts and foreclosures. He also handles commercial and residential leasing matters for numerous clients including a real estate subsidiary of a Fortune 100 Company.
In addition, he represents many closely held businesses on various business matters including, but not limited to, employment issues, business financing, contract and lease negotiations, business disputes, business litigation and corporate governance issues. Michael also oversees the firm’s residential real estate practice, as well.
His litigation experience has also included the management of an insurance defense practice with more than 150 active insurance defense and subrogation matters pending in Western and Central Massachusetts courts, as well as commercial and general civil litigation. He has represented numerous plaintiffs in connection with claims for personal injuries suffered in motor vehicle accidents and due to negligent maintenance of real property.
Prior to founding Crevier & Ryan, LLP in 1997 with David Crevier, he was a partner at the Springfield law firm of Ryan, Martin, Costello, Leiter, Steiger & Downey, P.C.
