Katherine R. Parsons
Kate has over fifteen years of experience representing insurers in litigation arising from claims under ERISA and non-ERISA life and disability insurance plans and policies in federal and state courts in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. In addition to her extensive litigation expertise, she advises a variety of business clients on contracts, policies, employment, privacy and compliance issues. She also regularly conducts independent investigations, represents media clients with respect to defamation and press shield matters, and provides expert advice and guidance to companies active in the solar energy industry on nationwide construction and lien laws.
Through years serving on the Board of Directors of an independent elementary school in Rhode Island, Kate has developed a broad base of knowledge regarding effective non-profit board governance, best practices for non-profit management, and strategic planning.
